Ian who has advanced dementia joined our soft cricket session picked up the bat and instantly brought back memories of playing many years ago. He spoke with enthusiasm of his team mates and the coach. His wife turned to me and said “It was so nice to have him back in the room even for just 5 minutes.

Had a lovely message form Mrs Main's son saying she loved the group and wished it was on every week!!

My girls joined @WestquarterCC a few years ago. It is such a warm welcoming club, which has a diverse membership and has grown (and retained) membership thanks to its wonderful supporting atmosphere. Absolutely delighted for them to win that award last night.

Seth has loved All Stars; this is his first outdoor activity we have managed to get him to go to. He was an indoor kid but now he wants to be outdoors and play cricket in the back garden. This is great, thank you.

I think the club is a friendly, welcoming, fun group to be a part of. The range of activities which you offer is fantastic!

I think everything that the club is doing is positive, going forward with the new club house and indoor training facility can only strengthen the club. Everyone is committed to positively promote youth cricket in the area for the betterment of the sport and sustain the future of the club I cannot praise you highly enough.

The All Stars sessions were brilliant. The coaches were all enthusiastic, patient, and helpful. My son loved it; this was his 2nd year. Communication was excellent regarding the sessions and the family day and awards ceremony were a great way of keeping families involved.

The group lifts my mood because I will see some friends and do something fun. Anything positive helps and the group helps me to keep active. It is something positive I look forward too.

It's an amazing scheme and the cricket club that runs it goes above and beyond every year.

Ian and I always look forward to the activities at the cricket club. There has been a wide range of activities so far and Ian and I have enjoyed everyone. We are looking forward to the tennis. The company is great and everyone joins in the fun. I feel that Ian is stimulated by the games and company.

The group is a great help to anyone with a diagnosis of dementia. Meeting up with others who are going through the same thing and having fun learning and trying new things is an excellent boost to all.

Try Something New Group, run by Alz Scot. in partnership in this case with the local (and very much community- support minded) cricket club. The buzz, conversation and animation of those 12- 15 or so people who attended was a pleasure to observe. And their appreciation was reward in itself for all the volunteers. It has been a long, long time since I spent such an inspiring time enjoying myself!

the activators are fabulous, really good at getting my (challenging!) son involved and gaining skills.

It`s great to see the club really embracing the programme and the long term benefits it can have for cricket if we get it right A big thank you from me for all that you do in your role at the club.

Lovely way for the kids to spend an hour on a Friday evening. Great instructors. Friendly and kind.

All of the guys from the cricket club were excellent with the kids. Not a bad word to say about them. Keep up the good work!!!

The pupils were really engaged, and the variety of games/activities kept their interest. They all really enjoyed learning new skills and it was great to see how enthusiastic they were about wanting to learn more. They were all included and could manage at their level; we are very thankful for the opportunity to be involved.

I really liked the volcano game because you have to run really fast. I liked everything!

Thanks for all you guys do at the WRCC. Murray's really come out of his shell and he's absolutely loved every minute from All Stars to Westies. I can't even start to tell you how much cricket has helped him through what's been a pretty challenging year this year. Between the Zoom meetings, outdoor sessions and indoor winter training, it's been something positive for him to look forward to. So again, thank you all.

The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the cricket taster sessions. The small group of children involved were highly motivated and the delivery of the sessions was brilliant. Thank you for getting to know the kids names and for encouraging them individually and collectively. This wider experience was not something they had participated in before and they showed real enthusiasm and interest. They showed real resilience which indicates real pleasure in the sessions.
